Beauty Bag: Rihanna's Fenty Beauty buys

When Rihanna announced that she was coming out with a makeup line, I – like many others – anxiously awaited the launch. And, as we all know now, she did the damn thing. Whether you want to support a black-owned brand for Black History Month, or you're looking to treat yourself to a lil something nice or you're getting a Galentine's/Valentine's Day gift for someone special, these Fenty Beauty buys are the way to go.

Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow

Gloss, lip balms and "your lips but better" lip colors are my go-to lip products for every day, and this one is a standout in my collection. It is not sticky at all, has a beautiful yet sheer color and has a nice scent. It's one of my new favorites and can be worn on its own or as a topper for other lip products. At $18, it's definitely pricey for a lip gloss, but it was so worth the splurge for me.

Invisimatte Blotting Powder

My nose and around my undereye area tend to get shiny pretty quickly, even after setting my face. I tried this on a trip with my friends, and I was sold on it immediately. It mattifies and completely smooths over pores without looking cakey or making me ashy. I haven't taken flash photography with it to prove whether there actually isn't flashback on me, but if the claims on the site are correct then this would basically be a perfect product.

Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color in Uncensored

As I mentioned earlier, I typically don't stray from a good nude lip. This red is just too good that I had to buy it. It does transfer, but it's a nice matte red that doesn't expose all the little lines in my lips and is bright but not obnoxious. Lips poppin' in my Fenty.

Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette

This limited edition palette is a mix of colorful and neutral shimmer shades that she released for the holidays. It is very glittery, so careful application is necessary, but the colors are beautiful and the payoff is nice when applied with your fingers or a wet flat shader brush. This was sent to us at work, so I didn't pay the retail price of $69, but if you own a lot of matte eyeshadows in your collection, this could be a welcome addition to add some sparkle to your looks if you're willing to spend the money.
